Welcome to the ranks of the Pokémon Professor Program. This program is designed for fans that want to promote the Pokémon TCG and expand Pokémon Organized Play by running tournaments and Leagues, acting as judges and organizers. From time to time, Professors may be solicited to write strategy articles, which may be posted on the Pokémon Organized Play website. Professors may also be asked to help Pokémon Organized Play by staffing major conventions and events.
Professors are an important part of the Pokémon Organized Play structure. In many cases, a player's perception of Pokémon Organized Play in general is based on their local Professor's actions. With this in mind, Pokémon Organized Play holds its Professors to a higher standard than the average player. As a Professor you are expected to abide by the Spirit of the Game and the Professor Core Values.
To ensure that you are keeping up on changes to the floor rules and rulings, you will be required to take the Professor exam on a yearly basis. Should you fail the exam, you will have one additional opportunity to pass it before being removed from the Program. Additionally, retaining your membership to the Professor Program requires you to maintain a certain level of activity. Should your activity drop below an acceptable level over a three-month time span, your membership to the Professor Program will expire.
For all of your hard work and dedication, you will have access to exclusive perks via Professor Rewards Program. When you act as a judge at a tournament, run a League season, etc., you earn credits that can be redeemed for Professor-exclusive items. Items include promo cards, sealed product, apparel, and more.
We are delighted that you have chosen to join the Pokémon Professor Program and look forward to working with you. If you have any comments or concerns, please contact us at support.pokemon.com.
Once again, congratulations on your induction into the Pokémon Professor program.
Thank you,
Pokémon Organized Play
